ARÖK Books
Founded in 2007 by photographer Andrew Miksys, ARÖK Books began as a self-publishing imprint driven by Andrew’s desire to have complete creative control over the bookmaking process—from photographing and editing to design, paper selection, and overseeing the whole offset printing process from wet proof to being on press to oversee the final run.

The imprint's first title, BAXT (2007), documented the Lithuanian Roma community. It was followed by DISKO (2013), a visual exploration of village discos in Lithuania. The first edition of DISKO sold out within a year, prompting a second edition in 2015, which also sold out. In 2015, ARÖK released TULIPS, a series focused on Belarus, and in 2022 published BINGO. A newly updated and expanded edition of BAXT was released in March 2025.

ARÖK Books is now entering a new phase, expanding to publish work by other authors. Its first external publication will be Vilnius Nightlife Graphics, 1992–2024 by Ringailė Demšytė, slated for release by Christmas 2025. The book is the result of three years of research and archives the graphic ephemera—flyers and posters—that helped shape and promote Vilnius’s underground music scene over three decades.
