Andrew Miksys (b.1969) is a native of Seattle. His work has been exhibited internationally and he has been the recipient of both Guggenheim (2000) and Fulbright Fellowships (1998, 2002). He currently divides his time between Vilnius, Lithuania and the US. His forthcoming book on Lithuanian Gypsies, BAXT, will be published this fall (2006). Poet and NPR commentator, Andrei Codrescu, wrote the introduction for
the book.
